Better, Expanded Transit
Better, Expanded Transit
I believe New York’s transit system should be the envy of the world, not a daily struggle, so my transit agenda starts with improving the subway system reliability, increasing train frequency so riders are never waiting long, and attacking delays at their root with modernized signals, better maintenance, and real-time data. I will push to electrify our ferry services so New Yorkers can move around the city on clean, quiet vessels that cut emissions instead of adding to them. And because the future of mobility is electric, I will fight to expand access to electric vehicles—especially shared EVs—by investing in charging infrastructure, supporting carshare and fleet programs, and making it easier and cheaper for working families to choose clean transportation.
